Treating data as a living archive, my work with Future Archives confronts representational gaps and epistemic harms in the SWANA region, with a particular emphasis on Levantine histories and cultural narratives. Through generative AI, I create speculative archives—for example, training LoRA models on mid-century SWANA records and re-situating cultural symbols—to challenge biased representations and stereotypes, and to recover Indigenous imagery and modes of self-representation.
